Hole By Hole Description

Hole 1 – Par 4 354 yards. S.I. 13

You’re welcomed to this lush course by a short par 4 with a slight dogleg right. Fairway bunker on left landing areas. Green protected by bunkers front left and front right. The green slopes right to left.

Hole 3 – Par 3 167 yards. S.I. 9

Take a moment to soak in the view of Lake Naivasha. This view ranks among the best views on any golf course in Kenya. This is a tough par 3 that plays downhill but with the wind in your face making club selection a challenge. The green protected by water on left, bunker short and right, slopes back to front with drop off on the back.

Hole 2 – Par 4 381 yards. S.I. 11

This is a straight hole with OB on left. There’s a fairway bunker of left around the landing area. The green is protected by tree on left, bunker on left. Green slopes back to front and falls off on the back.

Hole 4 – Par 4 454 yards. S.I. 1

This is a long par 4 that plays as stroke index 1. It doglegs right and requires an well positioned tee shot for a chance to get on the green in regulation. The undulating green is protected by bunker front left. A par here will feel like a birdie any day.

Hole 5 – Par 4 436 yards. S.I. 5

This dogleg left par 4 has a fairway bunker on left should not come in play. The fairway bunker on the right however is in the landing spot. A tee shot over the left fairway bunker will put you in a good position. The green protected by bunkers on right and left and slopes back to front.

Hole 7 – Par 4 412 yards S.I. 3

You should choose the club on this tee carefully on this dogleg left hole. It has OB left but a driver of 3 wood long on the left will leave you with a tough shot into the green over the tall, unforgiving acacia trees. Favor right side of fairway and consider less than a driver. Green protected by two water hazards on the left and bunker after water but before the green. Trees might also come in play if you’re center or left side of fairway. The tiered green slopes left to right.

Hole 6 – Par 5 503 yards. S.I. 15

A risk/reward hole that doglegs right. Aggressive line is over the trees will give you a reasonable chance of getting on in two for the reward; otherwise follow design. The green protected by two bunkers on the front right and front left. Undulating green the generally slopes left to right.

Hole 8 – Par 3 156 yards. S.I. 17

This is a straight forward par 3 that’s protected by water short right and two bunkers on the left. The green slopes back to front.

Hole 9 – Par 4 334 yards. S.I. 7

Another dogleg right where you need to consider your tee shot club selection wisely. For most it requires less than driver towards palms trees. Long and aggressive players can challenge the green by carrying the trees. There’s a water hazard left of green that comes in play for long errant drive or 2nd short. Green slopes right to left.

Hole 11 – Par 4 355 yards. S.I. 6

This slight dogleg right par 4 has fairway bunker at 110 yards and 50 yards to the green. The green is protected by water in front and that requires commitment on your second shot. There are also two green side bunkers on the right. The green is tiered and slopes back to front. The second shot critical on this hole.

Hole 10 – Par 4 353 yards. S.I. 10

A dogleg right hole with OB right and fairway bunkers right at 170 and 135 yards. The green is protected by bunkers front right and front left and is relatively flat.

Hole 12 – Par 3 161 yards. S.I. 18

This is an easy and straight forward par 3. The green is protected by bunker on left otherwise a good chance to attack the flag regardless of the position.

Hole 13 – Par 4 393 yards. S.I. 2

This is a dogleg right par 4. Don’t be too aggressive with cutting the corner otherwise you’ll pay the price. There are fairway bunkers on the right at 165 yards, left at 110 yards and right 80 yards. The green protected by bunker front left and front right and slopes back to front.

Hole 15 – Par 3 209 yards. S.I. 12

This is a long but straight forward par 3. The green is protected by bunker front right and left. Just get on this green and make your par on this hole.

Hole 14 – Par 5 510 yards. S.I. 16

Another risk/reward par 4 that doglegs left. A tree protects corner on left and bunker right fairway. Long hitters, high ball hitters can carry straight over the tree on the right for an easy second shot to the green. Otherwise, most people should lay up before the bunker for a chance at a long but doable second shot into the green. The green is protected by bunkers from right and front left and slopes back to front.

Hole 16 – Par 4 358 yards. S.I. 14

A dogleg right mid-length par 4. Carry over corner with you tee shot for a chance to attack the flag with a wedge. The fairway bunker on the left might force you to hit less than a driver if you choose not to carry the corner but it’s still a wise choice. There’s a green-side bunker front left.

Hole 17 – Par 5 599 yards. S.I. 4

One of the longest par 5 in Kenya. The tee shot is very straight but the green is hidden to the right making it a dogleg right par 5. Very few have a chance to attack the green in two but with a very aggressive second shot over the houses on the right. For most it’s wise to get on this green in 3 but it still requires 3 good shots. The green protected by bunker on left and trees on the right.

Hole 18 – Par 4 418 yards. S.I. 8

A tough finishing hole can easily break your round. It is a dogleg left that will require a very accurate tee shot. There’s a fairway bunker on the left at 150 yards. If you can carry your tee shot over this fairway bunker, you’ll be home free. The uphill second shot requires good club selection into this green that is well protected by bunkers on the right and bushes on the left.
