Hole By Hole Description

Hole 1 – Par 4 376 yards. S.I. 9

This tree lined, dogleg left par four is a tough opening hole. It forces the driver out of many players hands with the safe landing zone being around 200-220 yards. Go too far left past the trees and you find OB the length of the hole. Right, and you’re contending with lost ball or tough out of the trees. Your second shot will be toward a raised undulating green with a false front and slopes back to front. If you airmail the shot long, you’re likely to find OB. Accurate tee shot and second shot are crucial to start the round on a good note. A par is a great score.

Hole 3 – Par 4 438 yards. S.I. 3

A relatively short par 3 with a raised green gives you the first hole that you can breath. The generous green is protected by 2 bunkers on the left and a huge bunker at the back. It severely slopes from back to front. Proper club selection based on pin position is key. Be happy with another par.

Hole 2 – Par 4 365 yards. S.I. 13

Another tough par 4 awaits. This tree lined hole is slightly dogleg left with a downhill tee shot. Choose your line carefully. A miss left can lead to an 8 that will kill your round early. Find the fairway and you get a chance to attack the flag on this undulating green that is well protected by xx bunkers; one on the front, one on the left and two at the back. A birdie is realistic but par is a good score.

Hole 4 – Par 3 216 yards. S.I. 15

This is a challenging par 5 that doglegs left. Find a way to hit your drive that favors a draw around the corner and you’ll be rewarded with a chance to attack the green in two otherwise it’s a 3-shot hole for most. The huge undulating green is well protected with 3 bunkers lining the right side. At least you get a realistic chance for birdie.

Hole 5 – Par 4 361 yards. S.I. 7

This long, tree lined, slightly downhill par 3 is a tough hole. Another generous green will require good club selection based on the position of the flag. The green slopes back left to front right and is protected by a bunker on the front right, front left, right, 2 on the left and one long. Be happy with a par.

Hole 8 – Par 4 449 yards. S.I. 11

The first dogleg right holes challenges you to hit a tee shot through a narrow shoot of trees with a fade. Some players might be well advised to hit less than a driver even though it’ll leave a medium to long second shot. There’s a fairway bunker 140 yards from the green in the landing area especial for those who try to hit over the trees or those with a huge fade. A good drive will leave you with a wedge to this interesting green. There’s another fairway bunker on the right 50 yards from the green. The green is relatively flat but drops off dramatically on the back right tip making that side very challenging when the flag is set up there. The green is protected by 2 bunkers on the left and a bunker on the right. Be happy with a par but a birdie is realistic depending on the pin position.

Hole 6 – Par 4 343 yards. S.I. 17

By now you should be used to seeing trees on both sides of the fairway. The fairway on this hole slopes gently right to left. A good tee shot will leave you with a wedge and a chance to attack the flag. The green is generous with gentle undulations it is protect by xx bunkers; one on the front, 2 on the right and it also falls off on the left. Two good shots will give you a chance to putt for a birdie.

Hole 8 – Par 4 398 yards. S.I. 5

Another hole that plays longer than the yardage. Avoid the trees and OB on the right because that’s a sure recipe for a double bogey or worse. Favor the left side of the fairway although there’s also OB on the left. Clear the corner of this dogleg right and you’ll have the green light to the green. The green is protected by bunkers on both the left and right side. A par is a good score.

Hole 9 – Par 5 518 yards. S.I. 5

This tree lined, dogleg left par 5 has a very generous fairway. Favor the right side of the fairway for a chance to go for the green in two. The green is raised with a severe slope that will see your ball trickle some 35 yards back down the fairway if you miss the green. The green is protected by a bunker on the right. Two or three good shots will give you a realistic chance for a birdie to close out the front 9.

Hole 11 – Par 4 393 yards. S.I. 12

The signature hole is a short par 3 that’s surrounded by water on the front and left and a bunker on the right and back. The key is proper club selection to allow you to attack the flag or at the very least hit the green. Avoid the trouble and you’ll be rewarded with at least a par.

Hole 10 – Par 4 383 yards. S.I. 16

Back to back par 5s give you some relief on this tough track. The hole is a dogleg right with a valley on your tee shot. Choose your line carefully for a chance to hit the top end of the hilly fairway for a chance to go for it in two. It is otherwise a 3 shot hole for most. Avoid the trees on either side on your first two shots and you’ll have a chance to attack the flag with a wedge for a chance at a birdie. The green is huge. It slopes back to front and is protected by bunkers; one on the front right, the front left and back.

Hole 12 – Par 4 325 yards. S.I. 14

As with all holes in this course, trees line both sides of the generous fairway. However, your landing areas slopes away from you so you won’t see the three fairway bunkers on the left that protect the landing zone 210 yards, 175 and 150 yards to the green . Favor center or right of the fairway. A good drive will leave you with a mid or short iron to another tough green. The undulating green is raised and requires an accurate shot. It is protected by a bunker on the front, front right, and left. Choose the club for your second shot carefully for a chance to walk away with a par of better.

Hole 13 – Par 5 516 yards. S.I. 2

A tree lined, dogleg right par 4 with a fairway bunker at the corner in the landing area. Hit a great drive and you’re rewarded with a wedge shot into this green. The green slopes from back left to front right. It’s protected by a bunker front right, two bunkers on the right, one front left and two on the left. Par or better is realistic.

Hole 15 – Par 3 145 yards. S.I. 18

A short, dogleg right par 5 with a generous fairway. A good tee shot will see you past the corner and past the fairway bunker smack middle of the fairway. The second shot is severely uphill which makes the whole longer than the actual yardage. But at least you’ll get a realistic chance to go for the green in two. But don’t overshoot the green because there is OB long. The green is protected by a bunker on the front right. You have a good chance for birdie with 2 or 3 good shots.

Hole 14 – Par 4 317 yards. S.I. 12

Most people will need a long iron into this long but wide open par 3. OB on the left only comes to play if you severely hook or pull your tee shot. The sloppy green is protected by bunkers; one on the front right and another on the left. Be happy with a par.

Hole 16 – Par 5 517 yards. S.I. 4

The first truly straight hole is a tree lined par 4 with a generous fairway. A good drive will leave you with a chance to attack the flag with a wedge. The humped greed is protected by a bunker in the front and two in the back. The right clubs and spin is required to hold the ball in this tough green. You have a chance for birdie but par is not a bad score.

Hole 17 – Par 3 181 yards. S.I. 10

A short, slight dogleg right par 4 will tempt long hitters to try and go for it. However there are two fairway bunkers around 50 yards of the green on either side of the fairway that force you to think twice about hitting a driver. The second shot is uphill to this green that slopes back to front. The green is also protected by a bunker on the front right. Leave your approach shot below the hole for a good chance at birdie otherwise it’s very easy to 3 or 4 putt on his green.

Hole 18 – Par 5 548 yards. S.I. 8

A slight dogleg left par 4 closed out your round. You can see the green from the tee box but trees in the left dissuade you from taking an aggressive line. Most people will be well advised to hit less than a driver and favor the right side of the fairway for a chance to attach the flag and finish with a birdie on this relatively flat but huge green. Miss the fairway in the right and you’ll have a hard time finding your ball as it slopes off severely. Give the gallery a good show with your second shot and a good putt to wrap up your round.
